2. With the outbreak of the epidemic on a global scale, cross-border logistics have been restricted. Shipping to South Africa did not gradually resume until June. Most Chinese businessmen kept their stores closed and gradually resumed business in July. It also led to the delay in delivering the materials for the South African Pavilion to the pavilion, which directly affected the project schedule.

3. Due to the impact of the South Africa epidemic, there are still nearly 1W new infections every day, and the self-isolation of the personnel has caused the exhibition hall construction materials to be delivered to South Africa and the exhibition hall construction personnel cannot be recruited, which has affected the construction Progress.

Although faced with many difficulties, China-Africa Bridge has been trying to recommend the construction of the exhibition hall in various ways, and finally completed the construction of the exhibition hall in October.

3. The actual effect of the exhibition hall

In just two months since the completion of the construction of the exhibition hall in October, in addition to many personal visits, it has also attracted many leaders and business owners to visit, and has reached initial cooperation intentions with some companies:

4. The main work carried out by the South African team:

Although affected by the epidemic, South Africa's commerce and trade industry only gradually recovered from the end of July, but South African companies have still done fruitful market research and channel development work since June:



On August 17th, the team visited the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to South Africa to promote the product and was recognized. The ambassador visited the exhibition hall later in the month.


In mid-July, several times to visit Mr. Weng, the founder of Afrimart, a well-known online platform in South Africa, to test the launch online and reach a strategic cooperation intention.


In late June, we met with Mr. Liao, the famous Chinese localization company Tempest brand, to exchange market experience and cooperation possibilities. According to Mr. Liao’s assessment, the horticultural engineering lamps among the lighting companies in the museum have a promising market vision in South Africa and even southern African countries (currently Few Chinese companies are involved), and he himself is willing to communicate with relevant manufacturers and act as agents for products. After the pavilion opened in mid-October, he personally visited the pavilion for exchanges and guidance, and proposed cooperation intentions and ideas.


Since June, we have investigated the main product types and prices of Makro, a mainstream high-end store.


Since June, based on the samples sent, the South African team has taken samples to visit mainstream channel vendors for many times, and has accumulated more than 60 inquiries from interested merchants.

In late October, we submitted the catalog of more than 100 Kanghui products to Builders to express the possibility of cooperation. After nearly a month of communication, we have preliminarily finalized the trial purchase orders for five products. On December 14th, two responsible persons from Buiders visited the exhibition hall for further details. Finalize the details of the cooperation: the successful entry of Kanghui products in the future will bring good market effects to the remaining seven companies, and it is very likely to open up the shopping mall market and play a demonstrative role for enterprises to enter the supermarket.


5. Project vision and follow-up work direction:

Sino-African Bridge South Africa will pragmatically create the "Never Ending South Africa Exhibition", practice the "Three Essence Strategy", and contribute outstanding mechanism strength to Zhejiang enterprises going overseas to Africa. In the new year, China-Africa Bridge will continue to devote itself to expanding business channels in South Africa, building bridges for communication between South African business enterprises and domestic enterprises, and helping more domestic enterprises to go global.
